Brutus's Story...
Brutus is a 1-year-old Great Dane mix looking for a family to call his own. He will need someone strong enough to walk him…as he is very strong. He is good with dogs and older children & he is house trained. But no cats! Because of the puppy energy, we are seeking someone who lives an active lifestyle. He would benefit from long walks to exert that abundance of energy to avoid destructive behaviors. He is neutered, UTD on shots and ready to find his new family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Hockessin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Hockessin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Hockessin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hockessin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hockessin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hockessin paves the way for another one to be saved.
