Casey's Story...
Casey is a beautiful purebred American English Coonhound from Louisiana. She weighs about 50 lbs. Casey is good with other dogs, she's calm and well-behaved - does not jump on people. Casey has been the 'office dog' at her shelter in Louisiana. She spends her days keeping the office staff company and meeting visitors.. At night she's in her crate and is well-behaved. She enjoys playing with the other rescues, both big and small, at the shelter play yard. Now it's time for Casey to find a real home. Casey can be a little unsure of herself in new situations like a lot of rescue dogs, but she warms up with a little patience and TLC. She's going to make a great companion and would do well in a home with another dog for companionship. Casey has arrived and is ready for visits

Casey, a Lexington English (Redtick) Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English (Redtick) Coonhound for sale in Lexington, or seeking a English (Redtick) Coonhound dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English (Redtick) Coonhound breeders who help with English (Redtick) Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
