Bear's Story...
Bear (a.k.a. Teddy Bear) is a "young" senior that was rescued from a high kill shelter just as he was running out of time!! He is exactly as his name describes him to be - a big teddy bear! He is a big loving bear that wants to play with his stuffed animals and gallop around. He is currently being fostered in Miami. If you would like to meet Bear, please contact Sarah Leddick at (305) 450-2033 or sleddi98@bellsouth.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Ocean Ridge Border Collie/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Chow Chow for sale in Ocean Ridge, or seeking a Border Collie/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Ocean Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ocean Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ocean Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Chow Chow breeders who help with Border Collie/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ocean Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
