My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dobbs (Dobby) is a beautiful and very healthy Black Lab/Hound mix. He is gentle dog with a heart of gold! Anyone would be lucky to have him as their pet. He is very mellow and enjoys lounging, but when it's time to burn off some energy... he will keep up with your pace! His owner adopted him back in 2020, and Dobbs has been a faithful companion through countless cross-country adventures since. Whether tossing a ball or cuddling up for some love, Dobbs is always by his owner's side. Dobb's energy and affection is endless. Unfortunately, his current owner is hoping to rehome Dobbs because he struggles with separation anxiety and thrives best in stable home where he can receive constant company and companionship. Whether you’re an elderly individual seeking a loyal companion or a bustling family with kids, Dobbs simply craves love and attention. Dobbs is currently located in Houston, TX. Owner willing to transport for the right home. If you are interested in learning more, please contact ROBERT DIAZ VICENTE @ 860-514-3998 or via email at robertdiazvicente@gmail.com.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to make the adoption process as thorough and easy as possible. If you are interested in adopting a dog, the first thing we will ask you to do is complete our online Adoption Application. Upon review of your application, a decision to approve or decline will be made. If approved, we will schedule a time for your to meet the dog you are interested in adopting. If there is a match, a home visit will be conducted before the final adoption decision is made. Once the final approval is made, an Adoption Agreement is signed and the adoption is complete.

More about this rescue

Happy Tails Dog Rescue is a foster-based registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, vetting, and rehoming dogs from kill shelters in Southern Florida. We are a husband and wife team, together with a small team of volunteers who rescue, vet dogs, and rehome dogs who are about to be euthanized. It is our goal to provide the necessary veterinary care, grooming, and attention they may need to ultimately place them in forever homes.
