My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm DAPHNE and I'm looking for a new home. I'm a 2.5 year old Shepherd cross who is 38lbs. I'm a friendly girl who loves getting attention from everybody. I was originally adopted by a nice lady, but unfortunately I did not adapt well to living in a condo in the city. The busy streets of Toronto made me nervous. Too much action for a girl like me. In my heart I'm just a country girl, so a place with lots of wide spaces would be just the place for me!

Here's what my foster mom says about me:
"Daphne is the sweetest dog. You cannot help but fall in love with her. Her favourite thing to do is cuddle. She is very well behaved in the house. She adjusts very well to new situations. She loves to play, doesn’t matter if it is with us or her foster brothers and sister. She also loves to go for walks. She is still working on her leash manners but if you verbally reminder her, she stops pulling.
I would say she is almost perfect, except she does have some issues with other dogs. When she is on leash she is very reactive so this needs work. Off leash, she takes some time to warm up to new dogs, but she does.
Daphne would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely play. It would be great if she were in the country so she does not meet as many dogs on her walks, but if her new parents were wiling to put the time in to work with her, I think she will adjust. She does not need to be the only dog in the house as long as she is given time to adjust to the other dog, but she should not be in a home with multiple dogs, where she will not get the attention she craves.
Sweet Daphne deserves a great home where she will be given the training she needs so that she can become the perfect dog that she truly is."

I love playing and cuddling with my humans. I'm a big kisser and a total suck for scratchies and pettings! I also adore chicken treats and really any chicken food, so this will be a good incentive to help me learn my lessons. I'm really hoping someone will see me and know that I'm worth having in their home!
