Adam's Story...
Date of Birth: estimated January 10 2010
Short Haired Black and White

Hi there! I’m Adam, and I came to Tigerlily Cat Rescue after being abandoned at a local pet store. It took me a little time to get used to this change in my life but now I’m all ready to find a new forever home! I love to roll over on my back for belly scratches, and, when you start giving them, I'll roll on top of your hand and cuddle up with it. I like to say hi and let my foster mom know when I'm not getting the petting I deserve. I’m a bit meek with other kitties, but should be fine with other cats so long as we're introduced slowly. I can be playful, but I usually enjoy playing independently. Maybe you have that purrfect home for me?
Love, Adam

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adam, a Sterling Heights Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
