Ranger's Info...

Ranger's Story...
Ranger is part of a litter of 5 kittens intercepted before being taken to a shelter. CA law requires kittens under the age of 8 weeks to be euthanized if they come in without a mother, so these kittens immediately went to a bottle-feeding foster home for the first 5 weeks of their lives. Ranger is good-natured, playful, and gets along well with other animals. ranger purrs non-stop and greets you with little face kisses when you pick him up. He was neutered on 7/24 and will be available for adoption on 8/4. He is up to date on his shots, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and is microchipped. An application, safety homecheck, landlord approval if renting, an indoor-only pledge, and an adoption fee of $80 is required. Discount to seniors, military/veterans, and proof of disability. Ranger is a handsome little fellow and will fit in well to just about any type of family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ranger, a Eureka Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Eureka, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Eureka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Eureka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Eureka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Eureka paves the way for another one to be saved.
