Bodie's Story...
Meet Bodie! This sweet boy is a friendly 6 yr. old Tabby who likes people. In fact, he LOVES people! He is cuddly and affectionate and will want to sit in your lap. If that’s not available he will want to sit next to you. And he will give you kisses! Bodie likes to be wherever you are most of the time.

This boy also loves any and all wand toys you want to wave around for him! Bodie is very playful and has a lot of energy. He also loves to eat. He’s not a picky eater either and likes most foods and treats. This is an easy to handle kitty with excellent house manners.

As much as this boy will love YOU, he could also pal around with another sweet, gentle kitty.

For more information on how to meet Bodie, please contact Debbie, Jake's Place Adoption Manager, at 415-548-0824 or visit

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bodie, a Novato Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
