Sadie May's Story...
My name is Sadie May and I am an almost 2 yr old ???. My previous owners were told I maybe part Whippet. The vet guessed maybe part Lab. The staff says at 35 pounds of sweet and energetic cuteness, who really cares what my mix is? My first home wasn't a nice place and after months of abuse an amazing family came and rescued me. They loved me dearly and I loved them even more. They taught me what a real family was and I am very grateful for my time with them. Due to financial issues, my family had to move and I couldn't go with them. I love people, but the abuse I received makes me afraid of strangers. It has taken me weeks to settle here and I have formed a very close bond with one employee and friends with the others too. I love to play ball and have been told I am one of the best ball players around! I enjoy the company of most dogs and cats. I am fully housebroken and love car rides. Once I am comfortable in my new home and my surroundings I can be off leash and I won't go very far. If you are a patient person, who is able to give me time to settle, then I will be the best dog you have ever owned!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie May, a Springfield Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
