Sabrina (Spayed)'s Story...
"Sabrina" is a beautiful young adult female Boxer mix who came to the HSOV on September 6, 2016 after a Good Samaritan found her on the West Side of Marietta Ohio and brought her to the safety of our shelter. She was wearing a collar when she arrived but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag to enable us to locate her owner. "Sabrna" has a brown/brindle short smooth coat with white markings, a long tail, and a very pretty face which is beautifully marked. She has a cute white dot on the top of her head :) "Sabrina" was already in love with our young kennel tech who helped her with glamour photos and kept looking to her for protection and guidance :) :) "Sabrina" weighs approximately 35-40 lbs. She is now available for adoption since she was not reclaimed. "Sabrina" was spayed on September 20, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. UPDATE: "Sabrina" was adopted on October 12th but was surrendered by her owner on November 21, 2016, so she is once again looking for a new home :( We've discovered that "Sabrina" does not do well sharing a home with another dog :(

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sabrina (Spayed), a Marietta Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
