Check out Jerry! Jerry is a 5 year old 21 pound Pug.
Jerry is an absolute sweetie. Jerry loves his people and likes to be near them. He does great with other dogs. Jerry is learning that a crate is OK and now sleeps there at night and goes there to take naps. Jerry is doing well with his housetraining, but will require someone who will be patient as he adjusts to his new home and schedule.
Like many Pugs, Jerry had some breathing issues because of his very short nose and elongated soft palate. Dogs with that smooshy face, called a brachycephalic nose, commonly have this problem. Jerry had stenotic nares, his nostrils were severely narrowed leaving only a small opening to breathe and an elongated soft palate that partially covered his airway. Jerry has had the surgery to correct both issues. Jerry breathes so much easier now. His little snore is now at a cute and adorable volume instead of a keep you awake all night volume .
Jerry is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. Jerry is now ready to find his forever home. This guy has been through a lot and is still the sweetest little guy.
