Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. My name is Nika.
I'm looking for a nice quiet home where I can show you what a sweet, loving cat I am. I'm a Maine Coon mix, so I'm larger than your average cat but that just means I have more love to give.
My former owner has to rehome me because I don't get along with her husband. We tried to make it work but could not. It was a hard decision for her because I've been with her since I was 6 months old (I'm now about 9 years old) but she knew the nice folks at Animal Rescue Connections and asked them to help.
I've been living with an ARC foster mom for a couple of months now, and I've really enjoyed the attention. I like to be pet around the head, especially under my chin and on my cheeks. A couple of soft rubs down the length of my back and tail are nice, too. I don't really like my sides being pet, though.
As the Cat Daddy, Jackson Galaxy, says, I'll give you clues to what I like and don't like. If you hold out your finger, I'll rub against it, showing you where I would like some loving. And just watch my tail. If I start switching it, please stop and let me relax.
I also like to play some and watch birds outside the window. When I see them, you'll hear me do my Maine Coon chirp in excitement. Other than that, I just want a place where I can relax and enjoy being with someone nice.
If you'd like to meet me, please email my foster mom, Pam, at plparmer@sbcglobal.net.
