Leah's Story...
Meet Leah, a 15-year-young lover in desperate need of a forever home to live out her golden years.

Leah just lost her person to cancer and would love to find someone new to cherish. She is a true cuddler and will find a place right next to you on any sofa.

Her favorite activity is sleeping in the sun. So sleek and soft, Leah will make an excellent companion and a loving friend. She lived with two other kitties, Mellie and Pip, and may be adopted individually or with her kitty family.

If you would like to meet Leah, please call Debbie, Jake's Place Adoption Manager at 415-548-0824 or visit http://www.jakesplacecatrescue.org.

Leah is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leah, a Novato Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
