Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Sparky. He is a neutered male, 5 1/2 years-old. Sparky is cuddly, curious and comical. Sparky is extremely friendly if he feels that he is not being
'trapped.' He loves hip scratches and "kisses" gently.
He is pushy with other dogs and would be best as an only pet, but may do OK with a submissive and well adjusted dog. He ignores other dogs unless they are forward with him. Cats, etc he will chase, etc. He is very stubborn, and pushy.
Sparky is a pouter, if he is not happy with you (ignoring him or not letting him have his way) he will pout by turning his back to you and lifting his nose up. He is fully aware of you, his ears are constantly searching you out, but he pouts for no more than a minute and tries again to get his way.
Sparky is a big cuddly guy, he may try to hide it but it is there. He "kisses" and eats very gently. He has soft, soulful eyes that show some hardships that he suffered, but once his trust is gained he is your best buddy. He loves to run, sprint is more like it, but he is graceful. Once trust was established, training will be easy. He likes to adhere to rules, he just likes it to be HIS idea not YOURS. He is comical, cute, loves to sing and plays gently with a ball. He is highly intelligent, you just have to get past his stubborn nature!
Once given the time to trust and open up, Sparky would make a wonderful companion to the right experienced husky owner. With how stubborn and pushy Sparky is, we are requiring that he is adopted to an experienced home with no children. We will be picky on this guy, to make sure he is in the best fit not only for him, but his new family as well.
