Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I'm the BEST dog! Well, at least that's what my foster mom tells me. I had a hard time before I came to Chihuahua Rescue. I was a stray for a while, got really skinny and had a ton of fleas so a LOT of my hair fell out. Then a rescue near Terre Haute found me. They started my vet care, then gave me to Chihuahua Rescue, who are working to get me all better. I don't have a lot of teeth left, but I can't tell the people what happened to them. Even with all my past problems I'm a VERY happy guy. My tail wags all the time! I love my human and want to be next to her or on her lap. If I can't, I'll settle for a soft bed. Are you my forever human(s)?
Chihuahua Rescue says Chi Chi is about 5 years old. He gained ~half a pound in the first week we had him, so he doesn't look like a skeleton anymore. His skin is better, tho' it will take a while for his hair to grow back. He is very sweet and gets on well with other dogs and the cat. He's shy with new people at first, but warms up quickly. He is very quiet and has good manners in the house and while walking on a leash. He is learning to be crate-trained and is reliable with his house training. Chi Chi weighs 7.9 lbs now (his goal weight is about 8.5 lbs), and his adoption fee is $250.
