Margo & Marla's Story...
Margo and Marla are two sisters from York South Carolina, about 1 - 2 ys old and about 40 - 45 lbs. they are sweet, friendly, playful and good with other dogs. As is often the case with pairs, Margo is the more confident one, Marla is a little more submissive and she often looks to her sister for reassurance. These two are a delightful pair of hounds for anyone wanting a hound family - they have each other to play with, but have plenty of affections and attention to give their adopters as well. We may separate them, but will only place each in a home with another dog. Arriving Sept 24 or Oct 4. FOSTER HOME NEEDED - foster-to-adopt arrangements are possible.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Margo & Marla, a Lexington Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
