Abigail's Story...
My name is Abigail and my paperwork says I'm a 4 year old Cattle Dog Mix. From the moment I met my foster family, I have not given them any problems; no barking, no whining, no accidents, no squabbles with fur siblings. I am told I am the easiest dog they have ever had. I love everyone of any age. Cats? No problem. Other dogs? No problem. Chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, lambs and pigs.....No problem! I am not a fast paced, hyper or active dog. I am laid back, quiet and prefer to spend every hour I'm awake being your shadow or laying in the sun outside. Whether that's while you are folding laundry, making dinner, raking leaves, feeding livestock, tilling the garden or playing....I will just be by your side. That means wherever you go I am ready to hop into the car with you. Many stores allow me to come in if I have a leash on. Speaking of a leash, other than in a store I do not ever need one. I can go on a long walk with you and stay right next to you. I have no interest in running off or leaving you; remember I am your shadow. I prefer my food a mix of wet & dry then heated up, but we are working on that. I also heard them say I'm a bit overweight. Ugh I hate diets. Abigail’s adoption fee is $250, which includes her spay, all age appropriate shots, microchip and health certificate. She is currently being fostered in Brandon, WI. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abigail, a Tomah Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Tomah, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Tomah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tomah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tomah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tomah paves the way for another one to be saved.
