Sugar's Story...
"Sugar" is a sweet 4-year old female Boxer/Terrier mix who was surrendered by her owner on September 29, 2016 along with "Spirit" who shared her previous home. "Sugar" has a brown/mahogany-colored short smooth coat in a brindle pattern, a long tail, and an adorable face with a slender muzzle and large erect ears. This little sweetheart is good with children, other dogs, and cats. "Sugar" currently weighs 26.8 lbs. and could easily gain several pounds to fill out her slim trim figure. We will take more flattering photos outdoors when the thunderstorms and rain move out of the mid-Ohio Valley, but we wanted to share these preliminary pictures so that potential adopters/rescue groups would know that "Sugar" is in our shelter and needs a new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Marietta Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
