We got a very concerned email from Kansas about sweet Sonya ...the shelter was set on finding a home for this very beautiful (with the most amazing eyes that speak of great wisdom) and very sweet Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix. Sonya was recognized for her sweet personality...and her beauty always attracts admirers everywhere she goes. But as stunning as Sonya is on the outside (although this poor girl will be so happy after a sudsy bath and grooming) it just doesn't compare with the love and good-will that flows from the heart of this pup.
Sonya aced her temperament testing and got a perfect on her vetting assessment. She was ready for her long transport to Denver and the opportunity for a new life. Since Sonya has gotten an A for sweetness, cuddling and general positive behavior...she's ready to be a devoted family member. We envision her in a home either with active and nurturing retirees who can cuddle and love Sonya with a light touch or a family with dog-crazy kids who love to love a fuzzy girl. Sonya would be overjoyed in a home that will shower her with time and attention and she will return that love a thousand times over.
We would never want Sonya in a situation where she's alone for many hours. Instead we would love for her to be a true family member.. to be taken along on walks, adventures and visits with dog-loving friends. Sonya is almost impossible not to fall in love with...her manner speaks of softness and sweet, loving hugs. She also travels like a champ - she loves nothing more than coming along on errands, socializing, visits and any adventure that keeps her together with those she loves. Sonya would also be a natural to come along on vacations or getaways..and is a perfect companion and lap dog at 18 - 24 months old and 8 lbs..so easy to scoop up and take along. Sonya is such a sweetie-pie that she attracts admirers everywhere she goes. But it will definitely be the special lap and familiar touch that will draw Sonya back to her family every time...she's a one-family girl!
We've requested that Sonya be spayed prior to her transport to Denver. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for her spay and microchip if our Denver vet is used.
