Facts about Wynonna

  • Breed: Miniature Pinscher
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Wynonna is a 7 year old female miniature pinscher mix, approximately 12 pounds in size, that came as a stray from Yavapai Humane Society. When she arrived she had a severe case of pneumonia. She has fully recovered, been fully vetted, and is ready for her forever home.

Wynonna is a typical min pin - happy, busy, interested in everything. She loves her food and people and is good with other dogs. However, she can be possessive with food and treats. Wynonna likes to stalk and bark at cats so she must be placed in a house without kitty friends.

It appears that prior to coming to Mini Mighty Mutts Wynonna was debarked. (an invasive procedure where tissue is removed from the animal's vocal cords to permanently reduce the volume of their vocalizations.) Due to this, and her history of pneumonia, sometimes when she gets too excited she will wheeze for a few moments.

Wynonna would be a fun dog for almost anyone - small enough to travel and seems to be fine with children. While she is high energy she is VERY sweet and simply looking for her forever family.

About Mini Mighty Mutts

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a nonprofit, 501(C)(3), all volunteer, limited admission small dog rescue organization funded by private donations and adoption fees. We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing small breed dogs who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their former owners. Our belief is that companion animals are living beings who are not merely "pets" but family members. We strive to find homes for them who share this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where they receive veterinary care, including spay or neuter, socialization, exercise, love and good nutrition until their forever home can be found. We do not discriminate against small dogs based on breed or physical disability.

Mini Mighty Mutts is a limited admissions rescue. We can only take in as many animals as our foster homes can safely and responsibly care for. We do not euthanize animals to make room for more. We simply stop taking in new animals until we have room. Each homeless dog will remain in our care until he or she finds a new home.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application and a home visit prior to all of our adoptions. We do adopt out of state, and may have a representative from another rescue complete the home visit for us. Once the home visit is completed and approved, the dog is available for you to adopt! While this sounds like a lengthy process, it actually is often completed in a day or two. We have an adoption contract that is filled out at the time of adoption, along with adoption fee's collected at that time.
Our adoption fee's are
Under 1yr: $250
1yr to 9yrs: $200
10yrs and up: $150
