Papaya's Story...
Papaya is a pretty 4-5 month old light brown tabby girl with a white chest and white boots. She has a few more brown markings on her nose, which help to differentiate her from her sister, Honeydew. Papaya is a super sweet girl, who loves to be held and cuddled and enjoys long naps under the sun. She also loves to play with any kind of toy, especially her favorite laser pointer! Papaya does fine with other cats, but is still a little nervous around the dogs in her foster home.

Adoption fee is a minimum $75 per cat donation to Feral Fixers . All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and felv/fiv negative. Discounted adoption fee if two kittens or cats are adopted together, $130 for a pair. Brief screening questionaire and contract apply! Please email gotfriendlies@feralfixers.org or call (630) 881-7459 for more information

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Papaya, a Lombard Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lombard, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Lombard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lombard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lombard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lombard paves the way for another one to be saved.
