Sarge (Neutered)'s Story...
"Sarge" is a handsome one-year old Hound mix who arrived at the HSOV on October 24, 2016. This good-looking young man has a tan short smooth coat with a large patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and a darling face with a black button nose and short floppy ears. "Sarge" is a happy boy who has an extremely friendly, outgoing personality and was eager to make the acquaintance of everyone he met while during his photo session. He is full of playful energy and loved his new best friend (HSOV Kennel Tech Steve Dickinson) who had him outdoors to pose for his petfinder/facebook photos. "Sarge" would 'sit' and 'shake paws' when Steve gave him those commands, so surely someone has spent some quality time with this fine young man. "Sarge" weighs 58.2 lbs. He is now available for adoption since he was not reclaimed. "Sarge" was neutered on November 16, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarge (Neutered), a Marietta Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
