My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bosley is just a pup and is learning about the ways of the world. He loves his long walks with his foster and is learning socialization skills...he's a very engaging and cuddly guy! At any time a fun adventure is the order of the day - count Bosley in! Both Schnauzers and Terriers are known to engage joyfully and energetically and then crash on the couch snuggling close to their favorite humans and canines.

Bosley is a cute as can be.. and a very sweet guy who favors the look and loyalty of the Schnauzer while taking on the very intelligent and engaging qualities of the Terrier. Bosley's sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated...he makes close playmates everywhere he goes. Bosley is friendly (while perhaps initially shy) and that means everyone he meets has the potential to become a close companion. You know when a loved one approaches, Bosley's tail starts the greeting and it wiggles up through his entire body ending in a smile. And if your lap is available, up Bosley loves to go to cuddle and snuggle and let you know the level of his devotion.

Bosley is such a wonderful being...we think he represents the best qualities of both the Terrier and Schnauzer breeds. At 6 - 9 months old and about 15 lbs (anticipated to be approximately 18 lbs when full-grown), Bosley seems to have left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up his early life. He has become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier his family is with his behavior, the more he shines with his accomplishments. We would like to see Bosley in a home that includes him in family time and activities...he'd love to be involved and would thrive in a forever home that truly loves him and considers him a very important family member.

Bosley would be a wonderful companion for retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young dog. Bosley would be overjoyed to accompany his favorite people to the park, walking beautiful Colorado trails and even riding shotgun running errands. Bosley doesn't require another dog to be happy.(as long as he gets both physical exercise and mental stimulation from his people). He does, however, enjoy his canine relationships with kind and gentle dogs.

As per Bosley's Kansas rescuers: Bosley came in to the shelter in horrible shape (please see photo just after his rescue). He was matted and covered in fleas... he will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (salmon oil would be a great supplement for Bosley) to keep his coat healthy with a cottony-soft feel. When Bosley arrived at the shelter, it became clear that he has a flea allergy and was missing hair on his back end from the constant chewing. He is doing SO much better now and looks so beautiful. Bosley is great with other dogs, doesn't seem to mind cats and is great with kids (truly loves all humans!). He walks almost perfectly both on leash or off leash (so unusual for such a young guy). Bosley is very ready for a great home and will bring so much love and kindness to his family. He's definitely a shelter favorite!

We've requested that Bosley be neutered prior to transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur due to too many dogs and not enough vets in this impoverished area of Texas. If it does not, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for his neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used

Bosley will arrive on transport in Denver on Friday 11/4/16. If interested in this very loving and devoted best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
