Baird's Story...
Pictures of Baird. Not great ones. Although a couple are absolutely adorable. "My name is Mt. Baird! My foster mom always says I'm a strong little guy! I love to purr and I'm a love bug. My purr is contagious! If I purr, my siblings purr! I have long hair so I keep myself super well groomed! My estimated birthday is around July 21st!"Please complete an online adoption application at petpromise.org/adoption-application if you are interested in adopting Baird, and a volunteer adoption counselor will contact you.

PETPROMISE DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. Our pets are housed in volunteer foster homes while awaiting adoption. We do our best to ensure that all of the PetPromise pets and their new owners are the perfect match. For that reason the adoption process may take several days to complete and includes a mandatory home visit. We do our best to ensure that the adoption of the pet is "for life."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baird, a Columbus Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
