We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. Denver is the kind of pup who snuggles in, loves you up and then puts his tiny head on your shoulder. He's so new and fresh with every possibility open to him. That's the case unless a puppy is in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuers in saving Denver ...she could see that his temperament was so sweet and lovable that she couldn't allow him to be euthanized.

Denver was immediately brought to be vetted and then brought to a great Houston foster home to receive pure love and begin his education. It turns out that Denver, at just 8 weeks old and 2.3 lbs is already so smart and engaging that his foster could see that he'll be a great family companion.Denver is expected to be approximately 30 lbs when full-grown (perfect hiking size!).

Denver is such a great spirit that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for his foster mom. Denver is cute as a button and so silly. He is like a blank and curious about everything around him. If Denver continues his foster mom's regimen of socialization that promote positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...he will become a well-adjusted and pleasant adult companion.

Denver is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix puppy with the cutest face ever and a cottony-soft coat that speaks of good health. Denver's sometimes calm and often silly demeanor is just who he is...he just appears to be more entertaining than your average puppy. If he is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, Denver will become a well-adjusted guy who respects his people as his leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for this sweet and cuddly puppy.

We also feel it's very important that Denver is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. He would be overjoyed with walks along Colorado paths enjoying the sunshine. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home or chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Denver can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany his family just about anywhere.

Denver may be arriving in Boulder unfixed due to his very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to his neuter, microchip and any additional puppy shots he might require.

Denver's teddy bear coat will require a commitment to periodic sudsy baths. Serious brushing combined with great nutrition will keep this puppy's coat healthy, matt-free and silky-soft.

Denver will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 12/1/16. If interested in this beautiful and very sweet companion, please fill out an application at and submit to or fax to 303-443-7730.

About Farfel's Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We own a pet boutique named Farfel's Farm on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. We have had the good fortune to find our niche in the Boulder community and experience success. We felt it very important to "pay it forward" in gratitude for our good luck. We couldn't think of a better endeavor than to save dogs who were out of time in the southern states, yet had been identified with great temperaments. We dedicate our efforts to their good health and ultimate wonderful, permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets are transported from the southern states approximately twice per month. Almost 100% of the time, the dogs are spoken for as a result of adoption applications that can be referenced under Adoption at We study the applications. If the app indicates there is a match, followed up by a home visit and reference checks, the process moves to the next step. The adopter is committing to a 2-week foster (of course the dog can be returned at any time prior), and can then choose to finalize the adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adoptions start out as a 2-week mandatory foster period. During that time, Farfel's covers all vet issues if one of Farfel's rescue vets is used. We also serve as a support with trainers and behaviorists on board for questions. An Adoption Application and an Adoption Contract must be completed before any dog can begin their 2-week foster. Our average adoption fee runs about $395. This amount serves to cover vetting, spay/neuter, all vaccinations, heart worm testing, temperament testing and transport. Our dogs come from Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and rural Colorado.
