Polly's Story...
Polly is a great little beagle mix, 3 yrs old and about 35 lbs. She's friendly with new people and other dogs, quiet and sedate, and doesn't dig, climb, or bark much. She's very laid back, just likes to wander around the yard when she's out for exercise. Polly is affectionate with people, fine with other dogs. she's about 3 yrs old, would be perfect for an older couple or family with kids. She's a perfect little beagle/hound mix, good on leash, has never shown aggression, and is probably fine with cats too. She'll be a good family dog and an 'easy-keeper'. Arriving Dec 4th.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly, a Lexington Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
