Boots's Story...
Cross-posting for a fellow rescuer in hopes of finding Boots a home!! 10-year-old Boots is still looking for a home where he can be king. He was down-in-the-hind likely due to a spinal issue but no more. This handsome boy is just too big to be safe around his current foster's other frail old dogs. He is a great dog otherwise, a typical standard dachshund. He would do great in a home as a single dog or maybe with a bigger dog. No small children. No rough play which could re-injure his back.

If you'd like to learn more about Boots please reach out to his foster mom via text at (480) 275-1677

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boots, a Phoenix Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
