New to PPFT, meet Simba!!! One of the best things to be in this world is a fluffy puppy. Everyone will want you, and everyone will adore you. As you get older though, they tire of you though. You are no longer a shiny new toy...you no longer have your puppy fluff...and you are in that awkward teenage stage. Your owners are tired of you and want you gone...like ASAP....so the solution??? They load you up, take you to a deserted area let you out throw a stick and when you turn around all you see is a cloud of dust. You try to run after them..but the dust is too thick..the car too fast..and you end up all alone. A kind of betrayal like that broke any trust I had for humans. My owners hurt me so bad I kept to myself for months, never getting to close to anyone. I became very skinny, and developed a severe skin infection which turned into a bad case of hot spots and I lost almost all my fur. I was just an empty shell of the majestic, beautiful dog I once was. Then, one day I met this lady and she would feed me and finally I broke my rule and trusted her. She caught me and contacted this rescue about me and off I went to my new life. I was taken to the vet and treated for my skin condition..which has now healed up! I am only waiting for my hair to come back in now. Once I was better, I got to go to my foster home. I met some dogs and perked up right away! They were all so happy and so nice and I love exploring the house..the house where I get to come in instead of getting a door in the face.I have met the cats and do not mind them at all. I am a very handsome boy and currently have what some may call a lions mane which is just downright adorable! My ears are a deep golden and it looks like my coat is going to be a gorgeous white cream once it comes back in. I am around a year old and am believed to be a Great Pyrenees/Golden mix and weigh around 70lbs. I am nervous when meeting strangers but if you give me some time I will quickly warm up and start wagging my tail! I have had a very rough past but I am now ready to trust again. To trust that somewhere out there, someone is looking for a boy like me to add to their family. My adoption fee is $200 which includes neuter, micro-chipping, all vaccinations, negative for erlichia and heartworms, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
