My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Georgia was recognized in a large, high-kill New Mexico shelter with an exceptional temperament. Her adorable little face peering out from the dim light of her cage was too much for the hearts of the awesome volunteers. Together we all made the decision that Georgia's precious life had to be saved. At about 9 - 12 months old and approximately 18 lbs (we'll get an exact weight shortly), Georgia stole the hearts of everyone who was ever involved in her care.

Georgia's gorgeous..and very scruffy face with the expressive eyes speak of so much love...and just a touch of pain. Who could leave this lovely pup behind...that's a question no one can understand about the path of Georgia's life. When a dog ends up on death row that is so filled with sweetness and promise, Farfel's and all our volunteers go on a mission to find a family that is a great match. Our search is for a special home that will commit to loving and caring for Georgia for the rest of her life.

We can see Georgia with retirees who have the time in their lives to love a wonderful dog. She'd be overjoyed to spend her days walking, hiking, pursuing outdoor adventures or even going along on dog-friendly vacations. Georgia is very portable and never presents a problem in any of her interactions.

Georgia would also be a great best friend to gentle children. She'd love to have backyard fun and at the end of the day snuggle up for a belly rub. Georgia would also enjoy other dogs in her home...playtime would be so much fun..and afterwards a snooze in the sunshine. Georgia would be a wonderful lap dog for anyone who enjoys the companionship of a sweet and cuddly pup.

Georgia is such a wonderful spirit and so positive about life in general (after all...she got rescued!) and loves to pass those upbeat feelings along to everyone she meets. Georgia can easily fit into almost any family scenario with ease as long as she's loved and stimulated with exercise and mental challenges.

Georgia is either a non-shedding or lightly shedding girl. She will therefore require periodic grooming to keep her beautiful coat healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free. Georgia's photo is her shelter image...she has blossomed into a gorgeous and scruffy Terrier pup since her release from the shelter.

Georgia has been fully vetted, vaccinated and temperament tested to fulfill our commitment to adopt out healthy and well-adjusted pups. We requested that she be spayed but we're not optimistic that this will occur. If it does not..Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Georgia's spay and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Georgia will arrive on transport in Boulder on Saturday 12/3/16. If interested in this very loving and devoted best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
