My name is Diva! I am about 2 years old. I am mostly tan but have white on my neck, face, feet and under my tail. My foster mom loves that the very tip of my tail is all white. I am 8 lbs. I’ve had 3 owners during my short life… 🙁 I came to CRT because the last home I was in had me only 3 weeks and decided they didn’t have time for me so they dumped me at the dog shelter. I don’t bark much. I like to cuddle and be in your lap often. I like to sleep under the covers with you, and I give lots of kisses on your face and like to lick you all over. There are other Chihuahuas in my foster home, which I get along with other than when it comes to food, my foster mom's attention and, when I'm under the blankets I don't like it when they come near. Many Chihuahuas like to snuggle and cuddle together but I don't seem interested in doing that very often. I don’t mind being alone but am much more comfortable and happy to be around my foster mom. There is a cat here too which I scare and chase away most of the time. I am doing pretty well with my potty-training and would love a yard to use. I like to play with toys and run and chase just like a puppy. Because I was likely abused by getting hit or slapped previously, I am fearful of people and will need to be handled gently and slowly until I fully trust you. If you touch or grab my neck or face too fast, I will sometimes growl. I am okay with being petted on the head and back as often as you can.
In summary, I LOVE attention and would like to be with you always. I'd prefer to live in a home without other animals or only with older dogs since the puppy here gets on my nerves. Do you have room in your heart for me?
