My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roxy is an 18 month old, 11 pound tripawd Chihuahua Terrier mix. She is very social and outgoing. Roxy is a sweetheart who loves everyone she meets. She willingly gives kisses to strangers and does great with other dogs and cats.
Roxy was a stray in tiny Gurdon, Arkansas. She was found with an old elbow injury. Small city shelters barely have the funds to vaccinate their animals and don’t have funds for any medical needs so Fur Fun Rescue stepped up. It took several volunteer Pilots and Paws pilots to get her to us. One of the pilots worked really hard to get her to us. He got grounded because of weather and spent the night in a tiny little airport in Missouri with Roxy and took off the next morning when it was safe to fly again.
After arriving in Iowa Roxy saw Dr. Brian Darrow at the Anamosa Vet Clinic. Roxy’s elbow was painful to her and could not be repaired so Dr. Darrow amputated her leg. Now Roxy is a tripawd. The day after her surgery Roxy was running around. Roxy hadn’t really used her right front leg in probably a year so she never missed it.
Roxy is very playful but also likes to be help and cuddled. At night she sleeps curled up close to her people. Roxy is perfectly housetrained and has never had an accident at her foster home.
Roxy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Roxy would like a forever home with a fenced in yard and kids over 12.
