My story

Josie is an fun and quirky little girl. At around 12 pounds, this 7-year old tri-colored Chihuahua mix warms up quickly to new people. She would love a fenced yard and other small dogs in her new home (or playful cats) to keep her busy.
Josie came to us with another 5 Chihuahua’s who were all rescued from a hoarding situation. There were many others taken from this house as well. The dogs were well treated, there were just too many of them for the people to handle and properly care for. Josie is not used to being on a leash, which is why a fenced yard is ideal for her.
Josie is an athletic dog and can be very quick. If you are looking for a walking buddy or even want to take agility classes, she is the perfect pick. She is getting used to new places and people and would benefit being with a family that will allow her to continue to be socialized. She also loves a nice, warm lap! Josie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and heartworm tested. She is mostly housetrained and is used to being crated when her people are away.
