Parker's Story...
Parker is year old Chocolate Lab boy. He was found abandoned in a park where an employee of a Vet's office found him and saved him. He was taken into the Vet given all his vaccinations, neutered and cleaned up. He's young and needs to start out with some basic obedience. He does know some commands and is very treat motivated. He loves to play and has a very high energy level. He's very affectionate. He's not sure about other dogs yet and would do best in a home without young kids, 16 and older would be best. If you can find it in your heart to give this boy a forever home, please fill out an Adoption Application or call NYSRR @ 516-828-1177 or e-mail us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Parker, a Deer Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Deer Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Deer Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Deer Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Deer Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Deer Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
