My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dove was just recently rescued from a high-kill New Mexico shelter. This very sweet guy passed his vetting and behavioral testing with flying colors and earned his ticket to a great new life in Colorado. Farfel's Rescue is very excited to welcome Dove and start the search for a loving and committed forever home.

Our adorable Dove is just about 18 - 24 months old and 13 lbs....and could not be sweeter. He appears to be a Cavalier King Charles mix...but there could be a little something additional in there. If so, our guess is some type of Spaniel. Which ever is the case..he couldn't possibly be any cuter!

Dove is the perfect companion for anyone searching for a very devoted dog who loves to spend his time either on his person's lap, taking a walk on beautiful Colorado paths or on the couch engaging in a serious belly rub session. Dove doesn't require extensive exercise but does enjoy walks, hikes, playing and cuddling with those he loves. He's also a very portable guy at just about 13 lbs and would love nothing more than a car or plane ride (in the cabin only please) to any destination. His behavior and temperament are great but it's important that's he's given the time to bond and trust...it also helps that he's the most adorable guy around!

We envision Dove in a home with a retired individual or couple who enjoy spending lots of quality time with an entertaining lap dog. Dove is often the center of attention just because he's so cute and engaging...and very funny as well! He's at that perfect age that is just getting beyond babyish antics and is now developing into just a great companion with more adult skills. Dove would benefit and learn great socialization skills from positive reinforcement group training class...it would also cement his relationship with his family.

Dove also enjoys the company of other gentle, like-sized dogs... but can be very happy as the one and only. He's a wonderful companion....just a kind word, petting, kisses, treats and a place next to (or on) the bed would be a dream come true for this little guy.

Dove will be up to date on his vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out healthy and well-balanced pups. We've requested that he be neutered prior to his transport to Colorado. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Dove's neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Dove will be transported to Boulder on Saturday 1/21/17. If interested in this very loving and devoted best friend please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
