My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Valley is a gorgeous, loyal, smart, agile, focused, intelligent, well-trained and loving 40-pound, three-year-old, Cattle Dog-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Valley gets along with most other dogs but prefers calm females.

Valley can be relaxed and happy to snuggle in his dog bed and go for walks. He’s also great on leash for walks or runs! He loves to play fetch. He is athletic and has the potential to be an agility star! He also LOVES to run in the yard … by himself or with his dog friends!

Valley knows sit, down, stay and when you shoot him with your finger he rolls over and plays dead! Hilarious and fun! He can also catch a treat mid-air!

Valley is housebroken and non-destructive in the home. He’s thrives in a quiet loving home. He’s best with adults and dog-experienced teens.

Valley is very healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested negative and on monthly heartworm preventative.

He is currently living in a foster home in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits.

To meet and possibly adopt Valley, please contact Sheri for an adoption application at sheri@petraits.com and follow up by calling 773-777-2891.
