Agnes's Story...
Agnes is super sweet, she loves to be held and lay on your lap or be carried. She is a great companion dog. She is a little scared at first with humans, not sure of her past but after a little while she warms up and gives great kisses. She would be content on your lap cuddling with you! She is tiny and likes to be carries around. The big dogs scare her a little but she is very curious….she just needs time to warm up.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Agnes, a Fort Atkinson Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
