My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My original name was Tippy, but now my friends call me Myrraha! I was born about two years ago, in the southern states. People tell me that I am a little pudgy at 55 pounds but if I get a walking partner I promise to loose a few pounds. But enough about my shortcoming, have you seen my gorgeous brindle coat and phenomenal bat ears? I don't remember my parents, but I think they were part Labrador. I am a smart girl, who knows several commands. I love to do my business outside, never inside. Going potty indoors is gross!

I also enjoy to relax in my own bedroom, or what they call a crate. Going for walks is a cake in the park for me and I quite in enjoy it.

If I got to choose how to spend my time, cuddling on the couch and getting ear scratches would be at the top of the list. Of course I also love to run, play with toys and watch for squirrels. My sister and I are nicknamed "the squirrels", 'cause we enjoy chasing and watching them. LOL!

I don't remember very much about my upbringing, but I do remember being in a scary, jail-like place. I think they call it a kill shelter. Luckily, when I was about three months old, a nice lady rescued me and my sister from that stinky place. The smell is something that I'll never forget. I really enjoyed living with the lady, and many other doggy siblings (7, and sometimes more). Unfortunately, we all moved to a new home together and there was a change in the household dynamics. This led me to feel uncomfortable with my situation and my doggy siblings. Now, I get jealous when my sister or other doggy siblings try to take my mom's attention. So, sadly, Mom can no longer deal with all the jealously. She thinks I would be better off with a family of my own, where I can have all of the attention. I do fine with other dogs in public and enjoy seeing them pass by, but I just don't want to share the attention at home. Did I mention that I love attention and ear scratches? I really do! One of my other favorite things to do is snuggle! Won't you help reduce me and my mom's stress by adopting me (so we can snuggle together)?

I am spayed, microchipped and have all of my shots to date. My adoption fee is only $275 which will benefit other CPR rescue animals and includes tests, microchip and up to date shots.
