My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're searching for a very devoted and loving best friend....Jenna is the pup you want to have around! Jenna, at just about 9 - 12 months old and 16 lbs is the perfect size to take just about anywhere. She's portable enough to accompany her people anywhere a sweet dog is welcome and large enough to love hiking the trails with her family. Jenna can initially be a bit hesitant...but give her a bit and she becomes the most bonded and loving girl around. Jenna is also very beautiful..this sad shelter photo in no way does this gorgeous girl justice, with her bronze-colored coat and spotted stockings, she's the prettiest girl around!

Jenna enjoys her time with her Kansas rescuer so much that she joins her just about everywhere...a true best friend! She loves being out and about and enjoys all people..her back end wiggles in delight as she greets old and new friends. Jenna is truly a little lap-dog extraordinaire and derives so much joy from her time spent with her family...she's a very devoted family girl. Jenna also enjoys other dogs who are kind and gentle to play with..it's so much fun for her to interact and enjoy fun time together.

This adorable (and often silly and funny) pup exudes love and loyalty...and it's catching! Jenna's tough early life has taught her how special it is to be loved and she's grateful for all the kindness that comes her way. She continues to learn and blossom every day now that she's out of the shelter and responds to people as well as other dogs in a very positive and engaging way.

Her bond to humans and her smaller and very desirable size leads us to believe that Jenna would be happy in either an active retiree's home...she would blossom with the time, attention and lap time that this type of family would offer. Or a family with dog-loving, gentle children would also be great...Jenna loves kind kids and is playful and fun! If there is some backyard play going on, Jenna is the first to join in and can be counted on to be sweet and appropriate!

Jenna is so portable at 16 lbs that she is able to accompany her family just about anywhere...be it under the seat on a plane (cabin only please) or riding shotgun in the car, Jenna is always ready and willing. She is a welcome guest in every situation...when comfortable, her joy starts with her wagging tail and works its way to the smile on her very cute face. Watch out - before you know it, she's crept into your lap and snuggled up to spend time together. Say the word walk to Jenna ...or simply play together and she's all over it. Off Jenna will go in anticipation of an adventure! Jenna has an amazing attitude for a little dog from a scary shelter... and it was this great temperament that saved this sweet girl's life!

Jenna will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out healthy and well-balanced pups. Farfel's has requested that Jenna be spayed prior to her transport to Colorado. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for her spay and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Jenna will arrive on transport in Denver on Friday 2/10/17. If interested in this sweet, devoted and very funny best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
