When we are asked about a special rescue pup that is snuggly, sweet and very fun-loving, we can't help but think of Sage. His eyes are shining (and so intelligent)...and maybe just a bit mischievous.
Sage's rescuer was very quick to tell us that he is SO much more handsome than his photo. She said that he does have an adorable face that needs a good trim to show its cuteness. Once he has a much-needed grooming, he will show the cottony-soft, hypoallergenic coat of breed.
Sage's rescuer shared that they know it's morning when Sage's little head comes under the blanket...getting closer and closer..and then a kiss of love. This curious and really, really smart 3 - 3.5 year old, 15 lb guy is a truly great companion. She described this gorgeous boy as not far from perfect!
The following about Sage: Sage is a calm yet playful guy who is wonderful! He's a lovebug who wants nothing more than to warm your heart.. and be devoted and SO sweet! He's absolutely great with me, my husband, our daughter (15 years old) and our 2 dogs. Sage's lucky family is getting a true gem!
We picture Sage as the best friend to retirees. He'd be so loyal.. and overjoyed to share his love and good will on a full-time basis. Sage would also do well in a family with older kids and another dog. He'd love the fun and active lifestyle...a hike or long walk would make Sage so happy!
There's also no question that Sage would be the most popular guy on the block. He loves to engage and just be his entertaining, adorable self. Exercise..perhaps long, leisurely walks or hikes along Colorado mountain trails ..and mental stimulation that comes from his time with his humans is important to this guy to keep him happy and well-behaved. it's not that he requires extensive amounts, just enough to keep him healthy and stimulated.
This adorable and very sweet pup is a non-shedder. Sage will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his stunning coat cottony-soft and matt-free.
Sage won't be neutered when he arrives in Denver - while we request it, there just aren't enough vets to cover the needs of the vast number of homeless dogs in this part of Kansas. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Sage's neuter and microchip after his arrival in Colorado if our Denver vet is used.
