Minnie's Story...
Minnie is a 4 year old 10 pound black and tan Miniature Dachshund. She is a sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs and likes to cuddle. Minnie loves soft squeaky toys and soft blankets to cuddle in. When she is done playing her place is on your lap cuddling. She walks very well on a leash and follows her people from room to room. At bedtime she likes to snuggle close to her human. Miniature Dachshunds were bred to hunt small prey like rabbits. Minnie views cats as small prey and would harm one given the chance
Minnie came into rescue as an owner surrender. Her family ditched her for a new puppy. Minnie is looking for a forever home, dogs are family.
Minnie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm tested, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Lisbon Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
