Arrival story: Jade's family asked Waggin' Tails to find her another home that will be a better fit. .

Personality: Jade is a very sweet girl who loves to cuddle and give kisses- once she gets to know you. She is shy and timid at first, and takes a bit of time to warm up. She is currently in a foster home with another dog and does great! Another dog in the home helps Jade with her shyness and fear. Jade attends doggy daycare and is very friendly with other dogs.

Jade looks like a border collie; however, her DNA test results show a lot of different breeds.

Jade’s previous home had children, whom she adored. Jade has a lot of energy (at just a little over one year old) and loves to run in the fenced yard and play with her canine pal. She enjoys riding in the car and going for walks. She is currently working on loose-leash walking at canine school. Jade is both house and crate trained. Jade is a smart girl who knows her basic commands (sit, stay, and lay down) and is working on extending her abilities through her training class..

Forever home: Jade really enjoys romping with other dogs, so a family with a confident, friendly dog is a must. A confident dog pal will help Jade build her confidence. Our shy girl is seeking a family who is patient and willing to work with her through her shyness of new people and places. Jade is an active girl and would love to join you in your walks/runs and lot of playtime. A physical fence required. No electric fences, please.

About Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit rescue group. Our experienced and dedicated volunteers donate their spare time to rescue, rehabilitate, foster, and re-home all breeds of homeless dogs at risk of being euthanized or sold to research from area and rural kill shelters. We are supported solely through donations and fund-raising efforts. Our volunteers receive no monetary payment for their activities. Instead, their reward is the knowledge that a dog's life has been saved that otherwise would have been lost.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We typically show every Saturday from 12-3 p.m. (please see our website for exact location details). We often have other special events that are listed on our website, as well. Potential adopters can also schedule meetings with the individual dog's foster parent since all of our dogs are in fosters homes and we do not own a shelter.

Our Adoption Process...

We utilize an application process because we have worked hard at nurturing and working with the animals in our care. In order to ensure that these formerly abandoned, neglected and abused animals never find themselves in the shelter/rescue system again, we screen applicants so that the applicant is matched to an animal that is suited to the applicant's lifestyle.

It is our job at Waggin’ Tails not only to find new homes for our animals but to ensure these animals never have an opportunity to breed again. All of Waggin’ Tails dogs will be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption unless the dog is not of age and/or the dog has a medical condition that would prohibit sterilization at the time of adoption. Dogs under 6 months of age and dogs that cannot be sterlilized due to a medical condition will be adopted out on a spay/neuter contract which means the adopter must agree to have the dog sterilized by a specified date.

Adoption Fees
Adult Dogs: $225
Small Breed Dogs: $275
Senior Dogs: $125
Puppies (under 6 months): $250 + $50 refundable Spay/Neuter Deposit

What does the adoption fee Include?
The adoption fees above cover all age-appropriate vaccines; heartworm/fecal test; spay/neuter (unless otherwise stated); and microchipping. When necessary, the dogs have blood panels, dentals, and professional grooming as well. In other words, we do everything necessary for the dog when they come into our care.
