Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Odin is a happy, sweet, easy going and people-loving, five-year-old, 73-pound, male fawn and white diabetic pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian.
Odin’s tail wags happily all the time. He give kisses to his favorite people and is sweet and cuddly – especially with women. He loves to play with ropes and chase balls.
Odin is perfectly housebroken and loves to go for car rides. He sits nicely for treats and is fantastic on leash.
Odin’s dad died suddenly and unexpectedly while vacationing in Aruba. Poor Odin has spent way too much time being crated ever since then – sadly 16 to 17 hours a day. Odin has always lived as the one and only pet in the home – but he may be fine with another dog.
Even though he has diabetes, he’s actually quite easy to care for. He just needs two insulin shots a day, 12 hours apart. And, he eats prescription food.
He is otherwise healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. His adoption fee of $100 benefits rescue. Everything you need to care for him for the first year will be included with his adoption. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact Kelsey at kelsey.risher@gmail.com for an adoption application and follow up by calling 205-936-9748. He’s being fostered in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago.
