Elvin's Story...
Ever hear the saying "The cats whiskers"? It means to be better then everyone else, though I do not think I am better then everyone, I sure have the best whiskers around! My name is Elvin and I am a 2 yr old Mainecoon/DLH mix. I am an attention hog, so my furever home must enjoy cuddling. I make fast friends with everyone I met, whether that be a child, adult, cat or dog, everyone just adores me and I adore them too! I am an indoor only cat, so no outdoor home for me. I am a big boy at almost 13 pounds! I will be the purrfect addition at any indoor home.

Adoption fee- $80 plus $10.99 to register my microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvin, a Springfield Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
