My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Copper is a sweet old guy who weighs 28 pounds and is probably 10-11 years old. He has nice doggy manners and gets along well with other dogs and cats. His favorite place is wherever his people are. He will happily follow his people from room to room and is content to lay by your side or curl up in a dog bed. Copper likes to go for short walks and walks along nicely. He is a typical Beagle and spends most of the walk with his nose to the ground inhaling all the different scents.
Copper was dumped and picked up as a stray by animal control. He badly needed help and they didn’t have the funds to get him any. Copper’s ears were badly infected and had been for a long time. His right ear had a hematoma that went untreated and is wrinkled up. This was caused by him shaking his head because his ears hurt. Copper’s teeth were in horrible shape and were causing him a lot of pain. His tiny front teeth were worn down and the roots were exposed. Copper was licking and chewing at his paws constantly. We believe this is caused by a grain allergy and have him on a grain free food. Copper seems to know he is getting some help and was very good natured about us messing with his ears and teeth. He feels so much better now.
Copper is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. Copper likes sniffing around his yard and would love a home with a fenced in yard.
