Georgia is an extremely smart and active girl who would do best with an active canine brother or a very active person in her life to keep her stimulated!
She needs a strong owner as she feels the need to fill the leader position if one is not present. Though weary of strangers, she does warm up to them quickly on her own terms and with a loving, stable family and lots of socialization, she will continue to progress and grow through this challenge.
She is a true textbook Catahoula personality; she looks to please you and loves you thoroughly! One look into those eyes and you'll fall in love! Speak and she will tilt her head hanging on your every syllable!
If you are interested in Georgia because of her looks and you have no Catahoula experience, she is not the dog for you! She is available to Catahoula Savvy individuals only!
If you are interested in adopting Georgia please email SLN2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own.
All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Georgia's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
