My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. Val is the kind of pup who snuggles in, loves you up and then puts her tiny head on your shoulder. She's so new and fresh with every possibility open to her.

Val is the much-loved puppy of Ivy. Ivy was rescued by Farfel's and adopted out to an amazing family...her new dad is a veterinarian and made a passing comment that Ivy looked like she might be pregnant. We all smiled and never gave it another thought. Six (or so) weeks later, four perfect puppies were born. Now that it's 9 weeks later, Val is available for adoption to a very loving family that is searching for a perfect puppy.

The universe was smiling at Val when she was born. Her mom was slated for euthanasia following a very tough early life. Ivy was recognized by the shelter for her great temperament and escaped her fate by being transported to Farfel's Rescue and a forever family waiting for her in Colorado. Val had the good fortune to be born into the love and nurturing of this great home.

Val was immediately handled, nurtured and cuddled to give her a great start in life. This was followed by positive socialization with other dogs, cats... and humans who let Val know that she's the best puppy on earth. The result of this great care is a well-socialized puppy who can fit into any situation with a positive attitude.. filled with love and good intention.

Val, at just 9 weeks old and 3 lbs (anticipate full-grown weight of approximately 10 lbs) is a little shy at first, but loves to snuggle and is very sweet and playful. You can count on this beautiful baby to climb into your lap...she loves that spot to give and receive love. A belly rub and endearing words can put Val over the moon.

Val is cute as a button and so silly. She is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her. If Val continues this regimen of socialization that promotes positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...she will become a well-adjusted and very loving adult companion.

Val is a gorgeous Yorkshire Terrier mix puppy who is the cutest ever! Her often calm.. yet playful and silly demeanor is just who she is. If Val is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, she will become a well-adjusted girl who respects her people as her leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for this sweet and cuddly girl.

We feel it's very important that Val is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Val can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere.

Val will be adopted out unfixed due to her very young age. Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to her spay, microchip and any additional puppy shots that Val might require if our Denver vet is used.

We can't determine at this point if Val is a shedder...although we see no sign of shedding at this point. A commitment to sudsy baths and serious brushing combined with great nutrition will keep this puppy's coat healthy and silky-soft.

Farfel's is currently setting up Meet and Greets with this wonderful puppy. If interested in a loving and fun best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
