My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Jemma" is a beautiful 2-year old female Labrador Retriever mix who came to the HSOV on April 17, 2017 after a Good Samaritan found her on Lang's Farm Road near Marietta Ohio and brought her to the safety of our shelter in hopes that we could locate her family. Unfortunately "Jemma" was not wearing a collar so there was neither a dog tag nor an id tag to enable us to locate her owner (and she did not have a microchip) :(

"Jemma" has a shiny black short smooth coat. a tiny patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with soulful eyes, a black button nose, and extra-large long black velvet ears. This sweet girl has an extremely friendly personality and wags her tail very so gently when you make eye contact with her.

"Jemma" wasn't ready to walk on a leash to have her glamour photos taken in the green grass, so we took preliminary pictures in her kennel in hopes that her family will see them.

"Jemma" weighs 45.7 lbs.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, she will be held for three days so that her owner will have the opportunity to reclaim her. If that happy reunion does not take place, "Jemma" will be available for adoption on April 20, 2017.
