Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kelly is a beautiful 2-year old female Pointer/Terrier mix who was accepted at the HSOV on January 13, 2017 as a transfer from a nearby shelter whose facility was deemed unsafe for housing their dogs. We offered "Kelly" and four of her friends a safe place to stay. Her four companions have all found a home but Kelly is still waiting for the perfect family (or individual) to fall in love with her and give her a loving home..
Kelly is a gorgeous girl who has a sleek red-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable red-and-white face which is symmetrically marked. She has a liver-colored nose and extra-large semi-erect ears (the better to hear you with my dear) :)
When we took Kelly's original photos on January 13th she was a wanna-be social butterfly and insisted on making the acquaintance of everyone she met. She is still very social with her people friends though she tends to 'pick and choose' which of her canine friends she likes.
She is good with older children though she may be a little too active for toddlers. Kelly would likely be happier if she could enjoy a home where she would be the only pet. She is a highly intelligent girl who has learned to sit patiently and take treats gently from your hand.
Kelly has a real zest for life and loves to have a good time. She loves to romp and play ball with volunteers in our large play yards. We saw her enjoying time there on the afternoon of May 1, 2017 and took the opportunity to take some updated glamour photos that day.
Kelly weighs approximately 50 lbs. She is fairly strong on a leash and is enthusiastic about taking walks with our kennel techs and volunteers.
Kelly was spayed in January 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine.
