My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Houdini is just a love. She is very intelligent and observant. She is a little more calm than her 2 foster siblings, but she does love to play. She just likes to watch the surroundings first and make her observations. Then she decides what she'd like to do or which toys she'd like to play with. She loves the little squirrel of chipmunk-like toy and bats it around happily.

Although Houdini is a short-haired kitty, she has very soft and poofy fur. She is very loving and enjoys the attention of her foster family; especially when they pet her.

Houdini and several other kittens were found on a farm north of Atlanta. They were skin and bones from starvation, and teenagers in the area were boasting about shooting at them. They were trapped by a Planned PEThood foster and worked with so that they began to quickly become loving and affectionate. Houdini's life started out challenging and sad, but we're doing our best to show her that humans can be trusted. She deserves her very own home and a loving family who will promise to make her needs a priority. She hopes you will visit her and decide to adopt her very soon! She's waiting for you!.....

Houdini is FIV+. FIV is quite different than it's human counterpart. Kitties with FIV can live long, healthy lives and can live with other cats who do not have FIV. (FIV is typically transmitted during fighting in ferals or passed on from mother to babies. It is NOT transmitted to other animals/humans). Many fosters in Planned PEThood have both negative and positive FIV cats in their homes. There is a lot of misconception about FIV. Please don't let yourself be one of those people. Learn the FACTS and you will be glad you did.

Houdini is negative for FeLV, up-to-date on shots, spayed, and microchipped. The adoption fee is $ 120.00.

Planned PEThood hosts adoption events each weekend at several locations.
1) the John's Creek Petsmart (Corner of McGinnis Ferry Road and Peachtree Parkway in Suwanee)
2) the Lawrenceville Petsmart (Lawrenceville Suwanee Road at HWY 120 in Lawrenceville).

If you would like to meet Houdini, or know which adoption site she will be attending this week, please call her foster, Cheryl at 770-712-5456 or email at Cheryl.bridges@harrynorman.com.
