My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When Rex's rescuer walked down the aisle of the dismal Texas shelter, she was shocked to see the beautiful (and extremely dirty) Rex tucked tightly into a cage...his time was up. Farfel's immediately got a call describing how incredibly cute and sweet this young Manchester Terrier is..and the need to save his life. We immediately agreed and Rex became a very treasured Farfel's dog. He earned a ticket to a wonderful new life in Colorado with his great temperament that held every possibility for a great future.

At just about 1 year old and just 11 lbs, this very beautiful and sweet guy is just waiting waiting for positive input and guidance to be the best dog he's capable of being. We'd love to match Rex to a family that will spend lots of time with this very portable guy. He's a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere...and would love it.

Rex gets lots of attention when he's out and about...he's engaging (while a bit shy at first) and as sweet as can be. He's also extremely eye-catching... He's just an adorable and fun little boy who is simply irresistible!

When Rex turns that gentle look in your direction (with those amazing dark and expressive eyes), you can't help but smile at his adorable ways. You can see a bit of a sign that this pup has had difficult times. But not for him to be negative..a smile and a wag is more Rex's style. It's clear that he is working on leaving any pain behind.

Farfel's Rescue is searching for an adult family for Rex. It''s not that he doesn't like young kids..it just appears that Rex is more comfortable around adult energy. A retired couple or individual would be perfect for this guy. He would thrive on the time and attention that retirees often put into their pets. Rex, once bonded, will be a loyal and positive companion....that makes him very easy to spend time with just enjoying the wonders of life in Colorado. Rex enjoys time with dogs who are gentle, but doesn't really care about interacting. He's a very calm guy who prefers to spend his time getting belly rubs and enjoying his family.

Rex will be arriving on transport in Denver on Friday, 6/2/17. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and family-oriented guy, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com, fax to 303-443-7730 or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302.
